Portugieser Hand-Wound Tourbillon
IW545801
The Portugieser Hand-Wound Tourbillon showcases one of watchmaking’s most captivating complications: a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, composed of 56 parts and weighing just 0.635 grams. Designed to counteract gravity’s effect on timekeeping, it also offers the ability to stop the mechanism completely for precise, to-the-second setting. The tourbillon’s components feature Diamond Shell® coating to reduce friction and enhance energy efficiency. Housed in a 42mm 18-carat Armor Gold® case—known for its superior hardness—the watch features a silver-plated dial with gold Arabic numerals and feuille hands. Powered by the IWC-manufactured 81905 calibre with an 84-hour power reserve, it reveals its fine finishing and gold medallion through a sapphire case back. A black Santoni alligator leather strap completes this refined, hand-wound masterpiece.
