Grand Seiko Spring Drive 5Days Lake Suwa Before Dawn SLGA021
SLGA021
The Grand Seiko SLGA021 “Lake Suwa Before Dawn” is a Spring Drive timepiece that draws its inspiration from the tranquil surface of Lake Suwa in the early hours before sunrise. Its dark-blue dial captures the quiet motion of ripples across the lake’s surface, shifting in appearance with the changing light to reflect the natural beauty of Shinshu, where the watch is made. Crafted in stainless steel, the case measures 40 mm in diameter, 11.8 mm in thickness, and 47.9 mm from lug to lug, offering a balanced and comfortable fit. The dial is protected by a dual-curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, ensuring clarity and minimising glare.
At the heart of the SLGA021 is the Spring Drive Caliber 9RA2, a movement that delivers a 120-hour power reserve with an accuracy of ±10 seconds per month. Its gliding seconds hand reflects the smooth, natural flow of time, a signature of Spring Drive technology. The timepiece offers 10 bar water resistance, 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance, and features a screw-down crown for added durability. Through the see-through case back, the refined finishing of the movement is visible, further highlighting Grand Seiko’s dedication to both technical innovation and aesthetic craftsmanship.
