Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Spring Drive 5Days SLGA025
SLGA025
The Grand Seiko SLGA025 is a Spring Drive timepiece from the Evolution 9 Collection, inspired by the flowing waters of Atera Valley in Japan’s Kiso Mountains. Its dial features a newly developed pressed pattern with a greenish-blue gradation, representing the clear streams of Atera Valley. This is Grand Seiko's first gradient dial since 1989, shifting from light to dark tones to evoke the beauty and depth of moving water.
The case is crafted from high-intensity titanium, which is about 30% lighter than stainless steel while providing excellent scratch and corrosion resistance. It measures 40.0 mm in diameter, 11.8 mm in thickness, and 47.9 mm in length, designed for a comfortable and refined fit on the wrist. The SLGA025 is powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9RA2, delivering a 120-hour (5-day) power reserve and exceptional accuracy of ±10 seconds per month. The power reserve indicator is placed on the back of the movement to maintain the clean look of the dial.
Additional features include a dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, a screw-down crown, and a see-through screw case back. The watch offers 10 bar water resistance, magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m, and weighs approximately 112 grams. The high-intensity titanium bracelet is secured with a three-fold clasp and push-button release, completing a timepiece that reflects Grand Seiko’s craftsmanship and dedication to natural inspiration.
