Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Spring Drive 5Days SLGA015
SLGA015
The Grand Seiko SLGA015 is a professional 200-meter diver’s watch from the Evolution 9 Collection, combining rugged performance with refined craftsmanship. Its black dial features a powerful wave pattern inspired by the dynamic Kuroshio Current, also known as the Black Stream, evoking the strength and flow of the Pacific waters near Japan. The 43.8 mm case is made from high-intensity titanium, which is approximately 30% lighter than stainless steel and highly resistant to corrosion and scratches. With a thickness of 13.8 mm and a lug-to-lug length of 51.5 mm, the watch is designed for optimal wearability, enhanced by a low centre of gravity for a secure and comfortable fit on the wrist.
At its core, the SLGA015 is powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9RA5, offering an impressive ±10 seconds per month accuracy and a five-day (120-hour) power reserve. A power reserve indicator is positioned on the dial for practical functionality, while the seconds hand glides smoothly in Spring Drive’s signature motion. The watch features a unidirectional ceramic bezel, a screw-down crown, and a dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Its hands, indexes, and bezel display are coated with LumiBrite for high visibility in dark conditions, supporting the watch’s role as a true diver’s instrument. The high-intensity titanium bracelet is secured with a three-fold clasp, equipped with a push-button release, diver’s extension, and a secure lock with a slide adjuster, ensuring the SLGA015 is as functional under the sea as it is refined on land.
