Spring Into Style Jewellery Kennedy Report Banner October 2023

From modern twists on timeless styles to pieces packed with colour and playfulness, spring’s top jewellery trends are sure to add an extraordinary touch to your wardrobe.

Spring has sprung and with it has come a whole host of new jewellery trends to inspire you and help you express who you are. Whether your style is refined or more on the statement-making side, you’re sure to find gold jewellery, diamond earrings and designer jewellery you love, both now and forever. These are Kennedy’s favourite jewellery trends for 2023.

Floral jewellery featuring whimsical wild flowers

Nothing says spring like flowers, so we can’t resist the opportunity to bring botanical details into our jewellery collection. Keep the look subtle, sweet and suitable for daywear by opting for small floral earrings, like the Spring Amethyst Flower Earrings from Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. Rendered in yellow gold with amethyst flower petals surrounding a round citrine, they’re the ideal way to bring a hint of playfulness to your wardrobe. Or for more of an attention-grabbing piece, you can’t go past Graff’s Wild Flower Large Diamond Cluster Ring. It features a bouquet of diamond flowers (1.18ct in total) blossoming against a white gold setting, creating a modern-feminine feel with a touch of whimsy.

Ear climber earrings: the ultimate ear candy

One of the season’s biggest earring jewellery trends is ear climbers. Named for the way they climb up the ear, they can lend an elegant or cool-girl edge to your outfit depending on what stone and shape you choose. Take Graff’s Pavé Butterfly Diamond Petite Ear Climbers, for example. Adorned with 0.30ct classic white diamonds, the house’s signature butterfly motif makes them feel dainty and sophisticated as they seemingly flutter up the ear. For a bolder take on the trend, Dolce & Gabbana’s Anna Citrine Single Earring is a must-have. Boasting a yellow gold setting and a row of citrine, the piece makes such an impact that only one earring is needed to refresh any look.

Over the rainbow gemstone jewellery

There’s something about a colourful gemstone that immediately sparks joy. Whether it be a rosy ruby, velvety blue sapphire or vivid green emerald, colourful gems instantly boost your mood – and your outfit. This season, it’s a case of ‘the more, the merrier’ as a kaleidoscope of colours takes over our jewels. Suzanne Kalan is a go-to for joyful jewels, with the brand’s innovative designs showcasing colourful gems in all their glory. We love the Double Row Inlay Rainbow Sapphire Eternity Band – inspired by mosaic art, it features rainbow sapphires in princess and baguette cuts for a truly standout piece. Another happiness-inducing option is Dolce & Gabbana’s Rainbow Multicoloured Sapphire Hoop Earrings. The multicoloured sapphires that cover the circumference of the earring offer plenty of personality, but the classic yellow gold hoop shape makes them ultra-wearable for all occasions.

Diamond jewellery done differently

We all know that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but this season, your BFF has had a bit of a makeover, emerging cooler and more versatile than ever before. So you can forget about saving your diamonds for special occasions; an array of simple, pared-back styles means these diamonds are perfect for elevating the every day. In the Akoya Cultured Pearl and Diamond Stud Earrings from Japanese fine-jewellery house Mikimoto, 0.20ct of diamonds are complemented by Akoya cultured pearls for a look that imbues effortless elegance. We also can’t resist Roberto Coin’s Love in Verona Pavé Diamond Bangle. With its slim design embellished by 2.20ct full pavé diamonds, it’s a great piece to add to your arm stack.

Bracelets that work a charm

The charm bracelets of your youth have had a seriously chic update; we’re talking exquisite stones, precious metals and next-level craftsmanship. The beauty of a charm or motif bracelet is that not only is it a stunning piece of jewellery in itself, but it can also be among the most meaningful, whether it marks a special occasion or time in your life, helps ward off evil spirits or is simply a means of self-expression. Dolce & Gabbana has upped the charm-bracelet ante with its Easy Rainbow Multicolour Gemstone Bracelet. It’s intricately crafted from yellow gold that weaves around vibrant gemstones such as topaz, amethyst, tourmaline, citrine quartz and freshwater pearl – lending it an eclectic, vintage feel that’s well-suited to this nostalgic trend. Suzanne Kalan’s 18K Yellow Gold Evil Eye Mini Emerald Bracelet incorporates the ancient Evil Eye symbol into a contemporary mix of diamonds and a single emerald for a remarkable talisman that aims to fend off wicked spirits and bad vibes. Or for an even more modern twist on the trend, look to Mikimoto’s M Collection Akoya Cultured Pearl Spell Out 18K Yellow Gold Bracelet. Featuring a 5mm Akoya cultured pearl and yellow gold lettering, it’s sleek, stylish and surprisingly understated.
